that wasn't my chair afterall...

I've been getting inspired by all these blogs I stalked to get my DIY on.

Madelyn's room...humble as it is since a) it's also the laundry room, (but before you get upset) b) she doesn't sleep in there anyway (she sleeps with us)-needed a chair.
So one afternoon she and I were in Cameron visiting Aunt Heather, and we stopped at the Antique store and this chair caught my eye, and interested her little butt.
She crawled right up into it, and started patting the arm.
I didn't have the asking price cash in my pocket, so the guy took about 4 dollars less...
I decided I needed to 'girl' up the chair...so I did.

Chair before:
Chair after:
I personally love it...Madelyn seems to love it as well. So she's happy, I'm happy, and Aaron is happy that painting that chair (and a box and a storage trunk-which aren't quite done) seemed to have cured my DIY kick..for now.

seriously cute! there is just something about having pint-sized furniture for your pint-sized person. they love it! I guess we forget how everything is sized for grown-ups, it must feel so comfy to sit in something that is just right!
