Feeling the bug...

Remember last year's bug? Here, here, and here ...so ya..THAT bug? It's at it again...OF COURSE it's at it again...why wouldn't it be when I have mountains of laundry to do (my poor Mom who watches Madelyn has been out sick and bless her heart when she's here she does our laundry too...yes, I'm spoiled, I know!), dishes to do, a toddler who is obsessed with pealing onions into the floor, a son who I'm convinced is going to be either a contortionist or a gymnast, related to that a HUGE 30 week belly that gets in the way of everything and just makes everything harder, the onion peeling toddler potty training and not taking long naps..all these things that need to be done/have to be done/need to be encouraged and the bug bites. The bug that until I start (and finish) a project just chews at me...VERY frustrating. Also I've discovered sites like MADE so now I am convinced that I need a sewing machine, a sewing room, and all the threads and strings that go with it.
But um, right now I don't have those things. I do have a good knack for being resourceful though.
Madelyn and I needed to get out of the house for a few minutes today, so we went to the local Dollar store and I found an ADORABLE (actually I bought two of them) Valentine-y bandana. So here is my pile of "stuff"-an old necklace that I don't wear anymore b/c my face it too big and it's more like a choker which makes my face look even bigger, the bandana ($1!), some lace I ripped off of a basket (um, sorry Mom, but it matches), a pretty pink cloth diaper, and um a pair of Madelyn's underwear.

I got a good amount of my project done..but sadly Madelyn has been having bad dreams lately (she says that Bert is cracking her over the head with a bottle*shrugs*) so she didn't take a wonderful 3 hour nap , but just about an hour...so the bug is a-chewing away...but until I don't have a 'hold this' toddler who wants to 'help' me with scissors and needles...*sigh* it will have to wait. So it's my naptime project..stay tuned for the final product..although I'm not sure how long that will take!
